Easier Getting Out Of Bed With Music

Getting out of bed easier with music

A stick tapping a stone rhythmically can produce sounds that are pleasing to the ear. We don’t know when it was invented, but we do know that thousands of years ago, philosophers like  Plato  said that  “music is to the soul what gymnastics is to the body”.

Most people today are aware of the therapeutic effects of music,  and some even enjoy the benefits of music therapy. A new study conducted at the  University of Cambridge  expanded the list of benefits by selecting the top 20 songs to get you out of bed in the morning. Would you like to get out of bed more easily? Then read on quickly!

Music can be the best way to wake you up

This research was led by psychologist David M. Greenberg, in collaboration with the well-known app Spotify.

For those unfamiliar with Spotify, it is a website and mobile application used to listen to music. While listening to songs, you can skip or choose certain songs and the app adapts to your taste and offers you only music that you will like.

Greenberg strongly believes in the positive physiological and emotional effects of music on people. He believes that the right songs can make us more optimistic and energetic throughout the day. He therefore states that a certain number can serve to fill someone with positive energy. In this way, you can change the way you look at the day and improve your mood immensely.

Greenberg believes that  the key to getting out of bed in the morning in a good mood lies in extremely rhythmic opening chords. The first verses should have a rhythm of between 100 and 130 beats per minute. With this progressive increase in rhythm, both the body and mind will find the motivation to get up.

In this study called ‘Wake Up’, Greenberg argues that getting out of bed is something that varies from person to person. With his research he tries to find out what effect music can have on someone’s personality.

For Greenberg, getting out of bed means turning a lethargic state into a state of constant alertness. Music has played a fundamental role in human evolution. It serves not only as a means of communication but also as the art of social interaction that also has psychological effects on people. That’s why it’s so important when getting up; it is a basic part of ourselves.

This brings us to  the list of songs that Greenberg believes can help us get out of bed more easily. Since it can of course be different from person to person, you can choose from the songs that best suit your personality. He based this list on the ability he believes each song has to energize us throughout the day   . So it’s not that you have to jump out of bed, startled, but that the songs give you a real energy boost that allows you to get up in a way where you are more in tune with yourself.
