Life Is Not Measured By The Number Of Breaths You Take…

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take...

There are always those moments where you feel frozen. Those moments when you have to control yourself and your words. You are left stunned and amazed. These are the moments when you live, intensely, the moments that make you gasp.

These are the moments that change your life. You can close your eyes and you know you have something to live for. You’ve even felt like pinching yourself because it all seems so unreal.

What you have achieved, that which made everything worthwhile in the end, is not a dream. Some people call it luck, others call it steadfastness. But you will always remember those moments when you were speechless, because these are the moments when the train of life changed direction.

Life

Life is made up of moments

It is through these moments that you begin to think about your life and see if you are living consciously or, on the other hand, whether you are not tying yourself up. The platform of your train has nothing to offer you anymore; you’re not just waiting for death. Get on the train.

Relax and make mistakes. Don’t try to be perfect. Try not to take things too seriously. Take some risk, try to travel more. Climb mountains, swim in rivers. Go out and visit the places you’ve never seen. Live more, worry less.

The train of life

Life is like a train journey. With its changes in nature and direction, its mishaps, its pleasant surprises and its deep sorrow…

The moment we are born we sit on that train with our parents  and we believe that they will always travel with us… But they will get off before we do and we will continue the journey without them. Suddenly  we are without their company and without their irreplaceable love.

Nevertheless, many other people who become special and important in our lives will board the train with us, at any given station. Our brothers and sisters, our friends and at some point the love of our lives…

Some people take the train for a short ride. Others stay put to drive through the mountains and valleys. And those who are best able to help those in need will be revealed.

Most people leave an empty spot when they get out, a place that is permanent, a permanent void…  Others travel so fleetingly that we hardly notice them until they get up.

It’s interesting to see how some of these passengers, even our loved ones, find their seats and settle  down in different carriages. During the entire journey they stay separately, without any form of communication.

In reality, the only thing that keeps us from getting to know them is our own good will. On the other hand, sometimes it is too late and someone else will take their place over time.

Train

The journey continues

We try to have a good relationship with everyone on our train  and we look for the best that this person has to offer in everyone. At some point in the journey they will hesitate and we will have to try to understand them, but remember that we also often hesitate and want to be understood ourselves.

The biggest mystery for everyone is that we never know when, at what station and at what time to get off the train. And we don’t know this about our friends, our family or the person sitting next to us.

Sometimes I think about the moment when I will reach my final destination. Will I feel nostalgic, anxious or happy? It will hurt to say goodbye to the friends I have made and it will grieve me to leave my children behind, but I hold on to the hope that at some point I will see them again, with more baggage than when they started.

What makes me happy is thinking that I have made a positive contribution to make them grow and that they will stay on the train until the last station.

So, friends,  let’s make our train journey special. Let’s make it worth it.
