You Are Not Responsible For Rude People

You are not responsible for rude people

Hurtful comments and similar attitudes can affect us on different levels. However, do not believe that you are responsible for these things. When people around you behave inappropriately, remember that  they do it, not you. You are not responsible for rude people. Don’t forget to put this in your ears!

There is nothing,  absolutely nothing , that makes treating another person inappropriately acceptable. Uncivil gestures, negative messages, or simply negative attitudes should never be excused.

However, we give these things a lot of attention and constantly allow ourselves to be influenced by the behavior of others towards us.

If we actually pay attention to the above-mentioned behavior, the rude people may think that they have achieved something with this. They may feel proud, or even happy with themselves.

They may start to think that there is nothing wrong with their behavior and that their bad attitude is simply a reflection of reality, when in fact the opposite is true. Their behavior rests on nothing except their own darkness and internal conflicts.

Why is it better to ignore rude people?

Try not to pay too much attention to insults, criticism and unwanted opinions. Words can only influence you if you allow it. When you allow rude people to influence you, you also allow them to hurt you, both in the moment and afterwards.

However, we can all learn from the bad feelings and thoughts caused by that kind of behavior. A common truth you may have heard of is that some people enter our lives to teach us  not to be like them.

Mutual respect and good treatment are essential values that will help you live a healthy, fulfilling and peaceful life. This means that people who mistreat others are basically digging their own grave. By being so negative towards others, they are not allowing themselves to be at peace with the world.

The best way to maintain your confidence is to keep a safe distance and ignore it

The best way to protect yourself from rude people is to ignore them. Emotional connections are important and valuable, so we’ll have to take care of ourselves if we don’t want to get hurt.

This is why it is vital to stay away from those who want to damage our confidence and make us feel inferior.

If you’re constantly around people who only bring you down, it’s best to leave them as soon as possible. Rude people just want to hurt others. They only focus on themselves and what they want to achieve. This means that they will most likely only continue to hurt you if you don’t set clear boundaries.

In that sense  , you’re better off focusing on what you can learn from their actions  rather than on their behavior itself. This gives you the opportunity to grow on a personal level. This way you can work on your self-confidence and inner strength.

Becoming aware of one’s true intentions

Betrayal, selfishness and arrogance are sharp daggers that can cause a lot of pain. In reality, however, the most painful part is seeing one’s true colors after previously seeing them as friends.

Every now and then we become aware of someone’s true intentions when this person is no longer of any use to us. We are then useless to them, which is often frustrating.

By recognizing rude people, we enable ourselves to analyze the situation. In this way we can anticipate the reactions and intentions of the other person. So our shield takes the forms of various defensive tactics: ignoring and anticipating rude manners and negatively charged words.

Awareness of your so-called friend’s intentions can be very difficult (and processing it all the more so). You don’t just grieve when someone dies. You also grieve in this situation because someone who was very important to you suddenly betrays you.

However, as difficult as this is, try not to let this discourage you. Go ahead and analyze your priorities. Don’t let this event get in the way of making new friends. Establishing bonds with others may not be the easiest thing to do, but we are social animals. Friendships are really necessary!
