Genuine love arises when like-minded spirits meet. It is assured when two mature and conscious minds unite in mutual respect. They love each other freely. They decide to make the journey together. Therefore, keep your faith and do not be afraid. Do not sow doubt and uncertainty in your heart. Authentic love will last. Something beautiful takes care of itself and causes no pain.

We know that today many people no longer believe in love. They tried and their only experience was great disappointment. People have even less faith in the word ‘sustainability’.

How can we achieve it? Because we live in a time where everything is outdated. Everything has an expiration date. At the same time, we see trends appearing in philosophy such as those of Zygmunt Bauman, father of liquid modernity. Another philosophical movement is that of the always challenging Slavoj Žižek. His ideas about social disenchantment are harsh. He depicts a reality in which nothing lasts. And what remains is not very positive.

Today, most people feel socially dissatisfied. Life is all about change. In this environment, how can we be confident that sustainable dimensions still exist? How can we believe in stable feelings, in eternal love, in relationships where people never give up?

Francis Bacon said people are willing to believe what they would like to see as truth. To build something sincere like a happy, fulfilling and lasting relationship, it is not enough to just trust in love. We must also believe in it. We must invest our time, effort and affection in that special person we love. What we love, care about, and care for is most likely to last.

Because according to science, love is simply the result of three ingredients: dopamine, oxytocin and norepinephrine. We don’t care. Because neurobiological reality does not diminish the magic of love. We know what love is and how to do it.

Stephen Hawking has also said that love is much more complicated than chemistry. He said that sometimes we stare too much at the sky and forget the most important things on earth. Whatever the reason, we neglect love even when we know that our feelings are real and that we are with the right person. We behave that way for complex, varied and sometimes incomprehensible reasons.

Love is undoubtedly strange. But as Haruki Murakami says in his book  Blind Willow, Sleeping Willow,  love only comes along now and then. To find someone who exactly understands our mood and with whom we can communicate in a perfect way… That is an unexpected happiness that not everyone will experience.

If we get that wonderful opportunity, why don’t we make the most of it? So why not put our feet firmly on the ground, focus on our hearts, and raise our minds to a level where maturity and responsibility reign?

It’s worth it. The person who saw us while we were invisible to everyone deserves everything. The person who wants to be with you without needing you will take care of you in a way that you deserve. The flame will burn slowly, patient but lively. Thus, time and luck will have the chance to forge a long-lasting love.
